Birmingham-based Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairway Healthcare have been recognised among the UK’s Best Workplaces in Healthcare™ 2025, securing the national award. The accolade, part of the prestigious Great Place to Work® programme, celebrates organisations that demonstrate outstanding culture and employee experience.

With 91% of employees saying it is a great place to work, compared to 54% at a typical UK company, the award recognises the positive working environment at both Fairway and Embark.

From their Birmingham base, Embark Learning Care Academy trains over 1,200 people each year to enter the health and social care sector with confidence. In partnership, Fairway Healthcare supports more than 250 local care providers, collectively delivering over 250,000 hours of care activity annually. Together, they help address critical workforce challenges, adding more than one million hours of capacity to the sector each year.
