Our Work

The Embark Learning Care Academy is working closely with employers, we provide Training Needs Analysis data to clients to identify areas of development, to embrace best practice and to look at areas to improve. We share industry wide best practice and ideas, we focus on training and development as an excellent tool in staff retention and growth. Ultimately, we try and focus clients’ attention on the service user experience and the need to ensure that dignity and respect, as well as safety are at the centre of everything we do. We adopt a collaborative approach with our clients so that the Learner Journey no matter what stage it starts, always has a meaningful end.

“We have exciting plans for Fairway to develop capacity to deliver 10,000 hours of care per week across the West Midlands and Shropshire. At the core of those plans is the strategic partnership with the Embark Learning Care Academy. Since we started working with Embark to develop a self-grown workforce some 8 years ago, the project has flourished and is now the key source of recruitment and workforce development. We are proud of the fact that almost 70% of our health and social care team are products of the care academy and the fact that many have gone on to work within the head office function, developed careers in training or gone on to complete Level 2 and/or Level 3 diplomas is fantastic. To be able plan with confidence that we can upscale our capacity and skill set gives us a significant advantage in the market. We can virtually guarantee cover and demonstrate enviable retention rates. We are growing at a pace recording record numbers of hours covered over the recent period and are already on course to surpass those levels. We are building a skilled, motivated and compassionate care workforce for the 21st century and the Embark Care Academy is at the centre of those plans. Thank you and keep up the great work!”

“The Black Country District Jobcentres have been engaging with Embark Learning, on a SBWA basis since November 2017. I am now of the opinion that they are the very best at delivering their care offer compared to any other care organisation that I have ever engaged with.

Their training package is excellent and really does prepare the candidate for work in the care sector.”
