Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairway Healthcare are proud to announce a new sponsorship partnership with Birmingham Rebels Basketball Club for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening local communities, supporting wellbeing, and creating opportunities through sport and development.
Founded in 2023, Birmingham Rebels Basketball Club has quickly established itself as one of the region’s most successful senior basketball teams, providing a competitive and inclusive environment for players aged 18 upwards from a wide range of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
The sponsorship will help support the club as it continues to compete across multiple leagues throughout the Midlands, helping to offset increasing costs associated with facilities, equipment, officiating, and league participation.
Martin Chapman, Chairman, Treasurer and player at Birmingham Rebels, said:
“We are a senior only team that has had no government financial support since we formed three years ago. It has been a struggle to keep us going with our team playing across three leagues a season, amounting to over 50 games a year. This sponsorship is vital to enable us to continue into the next season and beyond. Basketball provides a competitive environment that is great for both physical and mental wellbeing. With our team comprising players from different economic, cultural and social background this link up shows Embark and Fairway are committed to the local sporting community in a sport that is so financially unsupported.”
Alex O’Neill, Director of Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairway Healthcare, said:
“We are delighted to provide support at grass roots level to a club with strong community links. This ties in well with our strategic approach to partnering local sporting clubs to enable access to community training programmes and utilising facilities in typical down time to maximise efficiency. Our portfolio already includes Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club, AFC Wolverhampton City FC, and Coventry Rugby Club, with more exciting announcements soon.”
Since its formation, Birmingham Rebels Basketball Club has achieved significant success across multiple competitions, including league titles and cup victories throughout the Midlands.
The club will continue to play home fixtures at Tile Cross Academy on Tuesday evenings, and Saltley Academy Thursday or Fridays (TBC) during the 2026/27 season.
This partnership further strengthens Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairway Healthcare’s commitment to investing in local communities, supporting wellbeing, and helping individuals achieve their full potential both on and off the court.
