Highfield Level 2 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety (RQF)

Course Description

This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety who are based in any area where there is a potential risk of fire. Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone and will recognise the causes of fire as well as knowing common hazards, the steps in a fire risk assessment and how to reduce the likelihood of fires.

Course Outline

All workplaces have a legal obligation to ensure their environment is safe when it comes to fire risks. Ultimately that comes down to ensuring your team have the required knowledge and understanding around fire safety.

The Highfield Level 2 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety (RQF) is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety and is based in an area where fire is a risk.

Learners gaining this qualification will understand that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone, and will recognise the causes of fire, common hazards and fire risk assessments. It can support those already in a workplace role or learners preparing for employment.

Course Duration

6hrs / 1 day

Assessment

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.

Certification

All delegates will receive an accredited Highfield certificate.

The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues.
