This qualification is designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities.
Topics include the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training and ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment.
The total qualification time for this qualification is 120 hours and of this, 48 hours are recommended as guided learning hours. This will be delivered over 5 workshops and a micro-teach session. You will also be given a supporting handbook for extra reference.
You will produce a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected.
All delegates will receive an accredited Highfield certificate.
The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues.
