Mental Capacity & DoLS

Course Description

This course is one of our essential courses for all staff working within health and social care regardless of setting of which adult user group they are working with. It provides the necessary overview information so that staff leave with an understanding of the principles of the mental capacity act, as well as the importance of embedding these principles into their daily working with individuals. The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards course is relevant to all health and social care staff who need to understand the principles and requirements of the DoLS safeguards and how this works with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

The trainer will carry out an on-going assessment.


All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
