Dignity, Privacy & Respect

Course Description

This is a fundamental course for all staff working in Health and Social Care. The course is designed to introduce and ensure that individuals understand the principles, importance and why these principles need to be embedded into practice in the context of health and social care settings.

Course Outline

  • Provides and overview and understanding of dignity privacy and respect
  • Look at the legal framework which underpins dignified care
  • Explain the effects of poor practice on the individual, organisation and others
  • Discuss how change can be implemented
  • Explore examples of best practice
  • Look at the use of person centred approaches to underpin the principles of dignified care

Assessment

The trainer will carry out an on-going assessment.

Certification

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.

Location

The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues.
