More About This Course

Care Certificate Course

The health and social care sector looks after some of the most vulnerable people in our society and those charged with their care need to be able do their job to the highest of standards. It’s important that anyone who is employed in the field of health and social care is qualified to carry out their duties to the very best of their abilities. Procedures, good practice and legislation are always developing and evolving so it’s important to ensure that you and all your staff are completely up to date.

What is the Care Certificate?

The Care Certificate is an identified set of standards that health and social care workers should ensure they adhere to in their working lives. It’s been designed with the non-certificated workforce in mind and aims to ensure that everyone working in the sector possess the same introductory skills, behaviour and knowledge to provide high quality, safe and compassionate care. Care certificate training helps new entrants to the profession understand their responsibilities.

Who is the course for?

The national care certificate course is suitable for people who have secured a position in the health and social care sector.
If you’re interested in working in the sector it can help secure employment. It’s a vital part of any induction training for health care assistants, adult social care workers, healthcare support workers and home care and hospice workers and domiciliary care staff. People employed in other roles in healthcare such as porters, cooks, volunteers and drivers would benefit from undertaking some or all of the course.
The care skills certificate is beneficial to anyone who has an interest in working in the sector.

How it works
